Rita Costa was born in Porto, in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Historic Centre.
She graduated in History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (2019-2022), and is currently completing her 2nd year of a Master’s degree in History and Heritage, specialising in Heritage Mediation, at the same Faculty.
She is currently working on a master’s thesis whose central theme is the comparative analysis of two women’s retreats in the city of Porto during the Modern and Early Contemporary periods.
She considers that attending this master’s course has allowed her to broaden and deepen her knowledge and skills in terms of exploring the Historic Centre of Porto, particularly in terms of the organisation of this space, the physiognomy of its landscape and the places of practice and sociability that it holds, from Medieval times to the present day.
